The brother saved his sister from child marriage

Lutfa Akhter (17) of Gunara village in Sarail Sadar Union.

She is a first year student of Sarail Government College. He is very interested in studies. Her parents arranged her marriage with an expatriate. She did not consent to the marriage. When he informed the Sarail Upazila Nirbahi Officer about the matter, UNO stopped the marriage.

Lutfa expressed her feelings at a community meeting on child marriage in Gunara village. He thanked everyone in the USKS for their cooperation in stopping his marriage.
